Amy Kreighbaum, M.A. and Carrie Johnson Vilas, M.S., are the founders and owners of The Studio. Amy & Carrie are professionals in the health, wellness and fitness fields. Amy earned her B.A. in Physical Education, with a concentration in Health, and she also earned a  M.A. in Kinesiology, concentration in Exercise Science. Carrie earned her B.S. in Health Science, with an emphasis in Community Health, as well as her M.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science & Health Promotion. Amy and Carrie are also Certified Personal Trainers through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.  Both Amy and Carrie have studied health/wellness, instructed college level health/fitness classes, and directed health/wellness programs for major organizations for more than 15 years combined.

Amy and Carrie have had the opportunity to train with some of the most elite Pilates instructors and fitness trainers in the world, some of which include:  Todd Durkin, veteran NFL player; Peter Twist, verteran NHL player; Kathy Grant, who received her Pilates Certification from Joseph Pilates himself; Julian Littleford, who is currently the Pilates Director for the San Diego Padres baseball team; Siri Dharma Galliano, trainer of many Hollywood celebrities; and Tom McCook, who has trained athletes such as the two U.S. gold medal swimmers in the 2000 Summer Olympics.

After completing their education, Amy & Carrie decided to open The Studio in order to offer high quality health and fitness instruction to individuals seeking a more personalized, one-on-one exercise environment.
